About Cosmelan
Cosmelan Peel in Surrey
Cosmelan is a non-laser depigmentation protocol for stubborn pigment: sun damage, dark patches and melasma-type discolouration. An in-clinic mask starts it off, and a home phase over the following weeks does much of the work.

Discover the Power of Cosmelan Peel
Cosmelan works on the cells that produce pigment, not only on the pigment already sitting at the surface. That is why it is used for patches that creams have stopped touching; it slows the process that keeps making them.
It is used for pigment from hormones, sun, old breakouts and age. Because it is intensive, we plan it around your skin and your calendar: there is a visible peeling phase, and it helps to start it when you have a quiet week or two.
What Cosmelan does
What the protocol is designed to do:
- Pigment control: slows the cells that produce melanin, rather than only lifting what is already on the surface.
- Even tone: dark patches fade, so tone reads more even in daylight and in photographs.
- Texture: the shedding phase smooths rough texture as the newer skin comes through.
- No laser heat: useful when heat-based devices carry more risk for your skin tone.
- A plan, not a one-off: the clinic phase and the home phase are set around your skin history and how deep the pigment sits.
- Suits a wide range of skin tones: it is a chemical system rather than a heat-based one, which is often why it is chosen for deeper skin.
One thing we say plainly: melasma is a chronic condition. Cosmelan can clear much of what is visible, but keeping it clear depends on the home phase and daily sun protection.
Why clients do this with us
Cosmelan is an intensive protocol with a peeling phase, so who applies it and how you are supported afterwards matters:
- Experience with depigmentation: our team runs these protocols regularly, not occasionally.
- Support through the peeling phase: you leave with a written home routine, and we check in as your skin goes through it.
- A small, quiet clinic: not a production line.
- Authentic product: genuine Cosmelan, and an honest answer if we think your pigment needs a different approach.

Suitability
Is the Cosmelan Peel Right For You?
This internationally celebrated skin brightening protocol is the ideal treatment choice for anyone dealing with:
- Melasma and Hormonal Shading Fades patchiness on the forehead, cheeks, and upper lip caused by pregnancy or hormonal shifts.
- Sun Damage & Age Spots Corrects solar lentigines and brown spots brought on by years of outdoor UV exposure.
- Post-Acne Marks (PIH) Erases the dark, stubborn red or brown stains left behind after old breakouts and skin blemishes heal.
- Resistant Discoloration Specifically engineered for clients who have seen zero results from standard chemical peels or brightening drops.
- Dullness and Uneven Texture Perfect for those seeking a total skin refresh that tightens pores, refines texture, and evens out tone simultaneously.
Only a consultation can confirm this. Suitability depends on your skin, your history and what you are taking. We check all of it before we treat.

Good to know
Frequently asked questions.
The questions clients ask us most about cosmelan at our Surrey clinic.
We begin with a one-on-one consultation to map out your skin history, evaluate the depth of your sun damage or melasma, and tailor the protocol to match your specific daily lifestyle.
To help the mask go on evenly, we use a degreasing wash first, so oils, makeup and sunscreen are not sitting between it and your skin.
Our trained professional applies the highly active, concentrated Cosmelan mask to the treatment areas. This is a quick 30-minute process, after which you will wear the mask home and rinse it off following your provider’s exact hourly instructions.
The magic happens at home. Once the mask is washed off, you will follow a strict, day-by-day regimen using high-quality homecare creams provided in your kit to soothe your skin, control flaking, and rebuild a healthy skin barrier.
Because long-term pigment management requires regular adjustment, we host routine check-ins at our boutique spa. We track your brightening milestones and fine-tune your home creams to ensure your glowing skin lasts for months to come.
The in-office application takes about 30 minutes. You will then drive home with the mask on your face and leave it to work for 4 to 12 hours, depending on your skin type as directed by our professional team.
The initial application is comfortable for most clients. Once your skin begins shedding at home, you will feel tightness, warmth, and a mild sunburn-like stinging. This is completely normal and easily managed with the soothing balms included in your aftercare kit.
Yes, Cosmelan is built as a single, highly intensive treatment cycle. You only need one main mask application at our facility, which is then maintained through your daily take-home creams for several months.
Most clients see a noticeable fading of dark spots and a beautiful surge in skin luminosity within 14 to 30 days after their clinic session, with overall clarity improving over the next few months.
While Cosmelan does an incredible job erasing existing dark clusters, hyperpigmentation is a chronic skin concern. Wearing a high-quality physical sunscreen daily and continuing with maintenance creams is essential to keep spots from triggering again.
Yes. While it is most commonly used to treat full-face discoloration, the protocol can be safely applied to other areas of the body showing severe sun damage or hyperpigmentation.
You should plan for roughly 7 to 10 days of visible skin flaking and shedding. Your skin will look red and feel tight during the first few days as the old, pigmented layers peel away to make room for fresh skin.
