Yes. Both our Pico laser and saline removal protocols are excellent for fading existing ink so that a tattoo artist has a clean, workable canvas for a high quality cover up. We recommend waiting until the skin is fully recovered before tattooing again.
Often, yes. Picosecond pulses put less heat into the surrounding skin, which is what makes them a safer choice on deeper skin tones. We still assess your skin first, and we will say if we think the risk is too high.
Avoid plucking chemical peeling, exfoliating or tanning for four weeks prior to your treatment. Cleanse the treatment area completely the night before your appointment and arrive with clean skin.
Treatment times vary depending on the size of the tattoo. Small cosmetic brow shapes can take under fifteen minutes while a large arm or back piece can take up to an hour for a full pass.
For small areas you can usually resume light physical activities the following day. For large body sections we highly recommend allowing your skin to rest without sweating for twenty four to forty eight hours to prevent irritation.
