About Stretch Mark Reduction
Stretch Mark Reduction
Stretch marks form when skin stretches faster than it can keep up with (pregnancy, a growth spurt, weight or muscle gain) and the deeper layer tears. What is left is a scar, so the honest aim is to soften and fade them, not erase them. We work on the texture and the colour, and we are straightforward about how much change to expect.
Every session starts by looking at the marks themselves: how old they are, whether they are still red or have turned silver, how deep they sit, and your skin tone. Newer marks respond better than older ones, and we will tell you which you have before you commit to a course.
How we deliver this. This is about potenza or lase md.

Tone
Benefits of Stretch Mark Reduction
Here is what clients usually notice over a course of treatments.
- 01Long-Term Mark and Texture FadingControlled micro-injury in the deeper layer prompts your body to lay down new collagen, so the mark gradually fills in and blends.
- 02Dermal Matrix Wave OptimizationWe set the device around your skin tone, because the wrong settings on deeper skin can leave pigment changes behind.
- 03Clear Skin and Texture ControlRed and purple marks usually lose their colour first; older silver ones change more slowly and mostly in texture.
- 04Lasting Renewal and SpeedAs new collagen forms over the months after treatment, the marks sit flatter and catch the light less.
- 05Gentle Non Invasive DeliveryThe energy is delivered in short bursts so it reaches the deeper layer without overheating the surface.
What to expect
What to Expect During Your Session
We would rather spend an extra minute checking your settings than rush a pass.
Suitability
Who Can Benefit from Stretch Mark Reduction
Stretch marks are scars in the deeper layer of the skin, so the aim is to soften and fade them rather than erase them. Treatment is usually worth discussing if you have:
- Stubborn and Coarse Markings Marks from pregnancy or a growth spurt that have settled but still catch the light.
- Diverse or Darker Skin Tones A deeper skin tone, where the wrong device can leave pigment changes behind. We choose the settings around that.
- Frequent Stubborn Growth Scars Indented marks on the stomach, thighs or arms that feel different to the skin around them.
- Dark Shadow and Silver Lines Older silver or white marks. These are the hardest to change, and we will tell you plainly what we think is realistic before you book a course.
Only a consultation can confirm this. Suitability depends on your skin, your history and what you are taking. We check all of it before we treat.

Good to know
Frequently asked questions.
The questions clients ask us most about stretch mark reduction at our Surrey clinic.
We look at the marks themselves (how old they are, how deep they sit, and your skin tone) and set the treatment from there.
Your practitioner cleans the area and removes any lotion or oil so the treatment reaches skin rather than product.
The device passes over the area section by section. Most people describe warmth and a mild snapping sensation.
Once the system has passed over the skin for its exact designated duration, the area is carefully cooled down and gently wiped clean by our expert technician.
We finish with a soothing gel and sunscreen, and go through what to avoid for the next couple of days.
The treatment creates controlled micro-injury in the deeper layer of the skin, which prompts your body to lay down new collagen there. The mark fills in and blends a little more with each round, which is why this is a course rather than a single visit.
Downtime varies based on the sensitivity of your skin. Most sessions usually involve slight pinkness for a few hours, while higher energy pulses trigger light swelling or warmth for one to two days, which is easily managed with gel.
Six to eight sessions a few weeks apart is typical. Newer red or purple marks usually respond better than older silver ones, and results build slowly as new collagen forms over the months after treatment.
Most people find it manageable: warmth and a pinching sensation that settles as soon as the pass is done. Tell us if it is too much and we will adjust.
For small minor areas, you can usually resume light physical activities the following day. For large body sections, we highly recommend allowing your skin to rest and recover without sweating for twenty four to forty eight hours.
Usually, yes. We choose the device and settings around your skin tone, precisely because the wrong ones can leave pigment changes on deeper skin. We assess your skin first and will tell you if we think it is not suitable.
Avoid plucking, chemical peeling, exfoliating, or tanning for four weeks prior. Cleanse the treatment area completely the night before your appointment.
