Hair Blanching
Conventional laser hair removal works by targeting the pigment in the hair itself, which is why it is most effective on darker hair. Lighter hair (blonde, red, grey and white) carries far less of that pigment, so it responds differently, and clients are often told elsewhere that nothing can be done.
Hair blanching is carried out with our pico laser as an alternative approach for those cases. Because outcomes here depend heavily on your individual hair and skin, we will not predict a result in advance: your consultation includes an assessment and a patch test, and we will tell you honestly if we do not think the treatment is worth your money.

We look at your hair and skin, take your history, and discuss what the treatment can and cannot realistically do for you.

A small test area is treated first so we can see how your skin and hair respond before going further.
- 03Preparation
On treatment day the area is cleansed and protective eyewear is fitted for everyone in the room.
- 04Treatment
The pico handpiece is worked across the area section by section at the settings chosen for you.
- 05Aftercare
We finish with soothing care and written aftercare, including sun protection guidance.
