What treatments help with acne scars?
Acne scarring is one of the most common reasons clients come to our Surrey clinic. Several treatments on our menu are used for it, and which one suits you is decided at consultation, never from a photo. These are the options and what each one is.

Not all acne scars are the same, and that shapes which treatment your clinician suggests. Rolling and boxcar indentations, raised or textured scars, and the flat brown or pink marks left behind after a breakout (post-inflammatory pigmentation) each respond to different approaches, which is one reason a plan is built in person rather than from a photo. At our Surrey and Aldergrove clinics, the assessment looks at your scar type, skin tone and history before any option is recommended.
Acne scarring usually improves gradually over a series of sessions rather than in a single visit, and results build as your skin's own collagen responds. Because treatments like microneedling with exosomes, chemical peels and skin resurfacing work on the deeper repair process, your clinician will space sessions out and set realistic expectations at your consultation. Sun protection between visits matters too, since fresh marks and pigment can darken with UV exposure.
It also helps to separate active breakouts from the scars they leave. If you are still getting regular congestion or blemishes, an Acne Facial focused on deep cleansing and extractions may come first, so the skin is calmer before resurfacing or microneedling is considered. Many clients in the Fraser Valley find their plan combines a couple of approaches over time rather than relying on one treatment alone.

The options discussed at our Surrey clinic include Microneedling with Exosomes, Chemical Peels, Skin Resurfacing and Acne Facials. Which one suits you is decided during an in-person assessment rather than from a photo, because each targets scarring in a different way.
Acne scars can often be softened and made less noticeable, and many clients notice smoother texture and more even tone over a series of sessions. Results vary with scar type and skin, so your clinician will set honest expectations for what each option can and cannot do before anything begins.
That depends on your scar type, skin and the treatment chosen, so it isn't set from a single page. Most acne-scar approaches build gradually over several spaced-out sessions, and your clinician will map out a suggested plan at your free consultation.
Post-acne marks are the flat brown or pink discolouration left after a breakout, while true scars are changes in the skin's texture, such as indentations or raised areas. Marks may respond to brightening-focused facials and peels, whereas textured scarring is usually approached with resurfacing or microneedling.
Cost depends on the treatment, the area, the number of sessions and how your plan is customized, so it's confirmed after your in-person assessment. Your first consultation at either the Surrey or Aldergrove clinic is free, with no obligation to book.
